What are some good ideas for a girl scout troop to earn badges?
I am an assitant leader in my daughters girl scout troop, (juniors) and me and the leader are trying to find good ideas for the girls to earn badges, and things that can be done at our meetings. If anyone has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it!!!
What sort of badges are they supposed to earn? Don't make me go out and buy a Girl Scout handbook in order to answer this question. Don't you already have one?

There was a period of time when standard girl Scout patches were considered the highest honor that any young girl could achieve. The importance of the Girl Scout movement remains the same but people are no longer satisfied with simple and non embroidered patches. They want custom scout patches. The patches may consist of designs or may be designed in the form of a sash for the shoulder - there are many options. Needless to say technology to has made a huge impact in making such options easier to obtain. What is more such badges have become a lot cheaper as well.
Another advantage of using tech is that one can get really cool designs without any difficulty. Needless to say the female scout movement is enjoying the benefits of this technology. The badges help in proclaiming that the female member is an expert in some field related to the movement. A female member who likes jamborees can use patches or badges that proclaim her appreciation of this aspect of this movement. Same is case for those who like something like soap box racing. One of the coolest badges around is the one that proclaims leadership skills. What is more parents and siblings love the idea of showing off these badges.
