Great Prices and Service from a Discount Car Rental
I've had quite the few weeks. I had a conference in Orlando, Florida and then a speaking engagement at Youngstown State University in Ohio. I was responsible for all expenses, and although I make a decent living as a doctor, I still like to save money. I get airline miles with my credit card, so that wasn't too much of an expense. But I had to find a discount car rental company with branches not only in Orlando, but also in Youngstown.
Yes, of course I knew I could go with the big national chains, but I haven't really been too thrilled with them before. I was comparing notes with a fellow traveler. We used different companies and her rate was much more affordable than mine. I wanted real savings. So after booking my airfare, I searched for "discount car rental" and came across U-Save Car and Truck Rental. Sure enough, it was the same company the gal next to me used.
The website was very easy to use and intuitive. It took me less than four seconds to figure out that U-Save has branches in both Orlando and Ohio. So I compared the two. I would save about $10 per day by going through U-Save. But then I saw that U-Save had a membership club that is not required, but if I signed up, I could save even more. So what did I do? I filled out the short form. A few days later, I got an email with even more savings. So I immediately booked a car for Orlando and Youngstown, Ohio to cash in on those great rates.
And when it came time to pick up my rental car, I took the shuttle over to U-Save. They had the car ready for me. I just told them I was there, filled out some paperwork, and was ready to go. They pulled the car up for me so all I had to do was put my suitcase in the trunk and head to the hotel. Returning it was easy too. I just turned in the keys, paid and took the shuttle back to the airport. It was that easy. I received the same great service in Youngstown too.
You'll have to forgive me for seeming so surprised with such good service. You should expect to receive top notch services. But too often I've been on the receiving end of snippy, rude, and downright obnoxious service reps from car rental companies and hotel staff. What they seem to forget is that as a consumer of their services, I can take my money and go elsewhere, which is exactly what I did here. So getting great service and pricing on a discount car rental was a pretty big deal for me.
